Stop 5: The Berkshire Mountains, MA

Our final stop. We are actually at the Copake KOA in Copake, NY. Copake is right at the spot where New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts intersect. It's just a stones throw from Stockbridge, MA which is in the heart of the Berkshires.

This was one of those RV resorts hat goes nuts on the weekend. Live bands on Saturday night (We're here for Saturday and Sunday nights), hay rides, movies (it's Wizard of Oz weekend) and constant activities. The loudspeaker across from us played music followed by announcements all day Saturday. We were reminded of Radar's announcements on MASH or the announcements in the Village on The Prisoner.

On Sunday, everyone disappeared - a big improvement.

A nice site with a patio.

We set the GPS for Stockbridge by zeroing in on Alice's Restaurant (of Arlo Guthrie fame).
The restaurant looked kind of crummy so we had a great lunch nearby and did a little shopping in the giftshops an galleries (Stockbridge really is kind of an upscale hippy place).

Heading home tomorrow and really looking forward to it. We really love our house and have never felt that way about another.
